Hadith 14:106
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abdullah bin Numayr narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was bewitched by a Jew from the Jews of Banu Zurayq, who was called Labid bin al-A'sam, until the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would imagine that he had done a thing when he had not done it. Until one day, or one night, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) supplicated, then he supplicated, then he supplicated. Then he said: "O Aisha, do you perceive that Allah has answered me regarding that which I asked Him about? Two men came to me; one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet. The one at my head said to the one at my feet—or the one at my feet said to the one at my head—'What is the man suffering from?' He said: 'He is bewitched.' He said: 'Who bewitched him?' He said: 'Labid bin al-A'sam.' He said: 'In what?' He said: 'In a comb, the hair gathered upon it, and the spathe of a male date palm.' He said: 'Where is it?' He said: 'In the well of Dhi Arwan.'" So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) went to it with a group of his companions, then he returned and said: "O Aisha, its water was as if it were the infusion of henna, and its palm trees were as if they were the heads of devils." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, why did you not burn it?" He said: "As for me, Allah has cured me, and I disliked to stir up evil among the people because of it." So he ordered it to be buried.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن هشام عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت سحر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يهودي من يهود بني زريق يقال له لبيد بن الأعصم حتى كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يخيل إليه أنه يفعل الشيء ولا يفعله حتى إذا كان ذات يوم أو كان ذات ليلة دعا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم دعا ثم دعا ثم قال يا عائشة أشعرت أن الله قد أفتاني فيما استفتيته فيه جاءني رجلان فجلس أحدهما عند رأسي والآخر عند رجلي فقال الذي عند رأسي للذي عند رجلي أو الذي عند رجلي للذي عند رأسي ما وجع الرجل قال مطبوب قال من طبه قال لبيد بن الأعصم قال في أي شيء قال في مشط ومشاطة وجف طلعة ذكر قال وأين هو قال في بئر ذي أروان فأتاها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في أناس من أصحابه ثم جاء فقال يا عائشة كأنما ماؤها نقاعة الحناء ولكأن نخلها رؤوس الشياطين فقلت يا رسول الله أفهلا أحرقته فقال لا أما أنا فقد عافاني الله وكرهت أن أثير على الناس منه شرا فأمر بها فدفنت
