Hadith 14:107

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Shababa narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: When Khaybar was conquered, a sheep containing poison was gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Gather for me those who are here from the Jews." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to them: "Did you put poison in this sheep?" They said: "Yes." He said: "What compelled you to do that?" They said: "We wanted, if you were a liar, to be rid of you, and if you were a prophet, it would not harm you."
