Hadith 14:126
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, who said: The family of al-Aswad had an incantation (ruqyah) with which they would perform incantations during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah) for the sting of a venomous creature. He said: So al-Aswad presented it to Aisha. He said: So she commanded them to perform incantations with it. He said: And Aisha said, "There is no incantation except for the evil eye or a sting."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال كان لآل الأسود رقية يرقون بها في الجاهلية من الحمة قال فعرضها الأسود على عائشة قال فأمرتهم أن يرقوا بها قال وقالت عائشة لارقية إلا من عين أو حمة
