Hadith 14:160
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Thawban, he said: Umayr ibn Hani informed me, he said: I heard Junadah ibn Abi Umayyah saying: I heard Ubadah ibn al-Samit narrating from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that Gabriel performed *ruqyah* (incantation) upon him while he was suffering from a fever, and he said: "In the name of Allah, I perform *ruqyah* upon you from every ailment that harms you, from every envier when he envies, and from every eye; and the name of Allah heals you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا زيد بن حباب عن عبد الرحمن بن ثوبان قال أخبرني عمير بن هانئ قال سمعت جنادة بن أبي أمية يقول سمعت عبادة بن الصامت يحدث عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن جبريل رقاه وهو يوعك فقال بسم الله أرقيك من كل داء يؤذيك من كل حاسد إذا حسد ومن كل عين واسم الله يشفيك
