Hadith 14:213
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: 'Abdah bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Muhammad bin 'Amr, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: "I was afflicted with pleurisy during the time of 'Umar, so he called a man from the Arabs to cauterize me, but he refused unless 'Umar gave him permission. So he went to 'Umar and informed him of the story. 'Umar said: 'Do not go near the fire, for it (the illness) has an appointed time which it will not exceed, and it will not fall short of.'"
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن محمد بن عمرو عن أبيه عن جده قال أخذتني ذات الجنب في زمن عمر فدعا رجلا من العرب أن يكويني فأبى إلا أن يأذن له عمر فذهب لي ألى عمر فأخبره القصة فقال عمر لا تقربن النار فإن له اجلا لن يعدوه ولن يقصر عنه
