Hadith 14:223
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Sahl ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from Humayd, from Thabit, from Ibn Rafi’, who said: Umar saw me with my hand or my foot bandaged, so he took me to a physician and said: "Lancing it [is necessary], for if the pus is left between the bone and the flesh, it will consume it." He said: Al-Hasan used to dislike that.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن ثابت عن بن رافع قال رآني عمر معصوبة يدي أو رجلي فانطلق بي إلى الطبيب فقال بطه فإن المدة إذا تركت بين العظم واللحم أكلته قال فكان الحسن يكره ذلك
