Hadith 14:254
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, who said: A basket of dates was gifted to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while Ali was suffering from a fever. He tossed a date toward him, then another, until he had given him seven. Then he withheld his hand and said: "That is enough for you."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا حفص عن جعفر عن أبيه قال أهدي للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قناع من تمر وعلي محموم فنبذ إليه تمرة ثم أخرى حتى ناوله سبعا ثم كف يده وقال حسبك
