Hadith 14:311
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, he said: Asim bin Sulayman informed us, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) went on an expedition with his companions. They passed by a green tree while they were *masghabun*—meaning hungry—so they ate from it. It was as if a wind had passed by them and extinguished them (i.e., caused them to collapse/die). The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Cool the water in the water skins, then pour it over yourselves between the two calls (the Adhan and the Iqamah) of the morning, and pour the water down thoroughly, and mention the name of Allah over it." They did that, and it was as if they had been released from a tether.
