Hadith 14:5
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, he said: Shabib ibn Shaybah narrated to us, he said: 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah narrated to us, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Indeed, Allah did not send down a disease, or did not create a disease, except that He has sent down or created for it a cure. Those who know it know it, and those who are ignorant of it are ignorant of it, except for the *sam*." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and what is the *sam*?" He said: "Death."
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم قال حدثنا شبيب بن شيبة قال حدثنا عطاء بن أبي رباح عن أبي سعيد الخدري عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إن الله لم ينزل داء أو لم يخلق داء إلا وقد أنزل أو خلق له دواء علمه من عمله وجهله من جهله إلا السام قالوا يا رسول الله وما السام قال الموت
