Hadith 14:68
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Awn informed us, from Anas bin Sirin, from Anas, that Umm Sulaym gave birth to a boy. Abu Talha said to me, "Carry him until you bring him to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." So he was brought to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he sent some dates with him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took him and said, "Is there anything with him?" They said, "Yes, some dates." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took them and chewed them, then took them out of his mouth and placed them into the mouth of the boy. Then he performed *tahnik* (rubbing the palate) for him and named him Abdullah.
حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا بن عون عن أنس بن سيرين عن أنس أن أم سليم ولدت غلاما فقال لي أبو طلحة أحمله حتى تأتي به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأتى به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وبعث معه بتمرات فأخذه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال معه شيء قالوا نعم تمرات فأخذها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فمضغها ثم أخذه من فيه فجعله في في الصبي ثم حنك به وسماه عبد الله
