Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 36:147

'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, that Abu Jahl was the one who sought the opening (victory) on the day of Badr. He said: "O Allah, whoever among us was more wicked toward You and more cutting to his kinship, then destroy him today." So Allah revealed: "If you seek the opening (victory), then the opening has come to you."
