Hadith 36:275

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Sharhabil, who said: When Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was struck by the arrow on the day of the Trench, and his blood began to flow upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Abu Bakr came and began to say: "Oh, the breaking of my back!" The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Desist, O Abu Bakr." Then 'Umar came and said: "Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return."

حدثنا أبو أسامة عن شعبة عن أبي إسحاق عن عمرو بن شرحبيل قال لما أصيب سعد بن معاذ بالرمية يوم الخندق وجعل دمه يسيل على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فجاء أبو بكر فجعل يقول وا انقطاع ظهراه فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مه يا أبا بكر فجاء عمر فقال إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
