Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Rafi‘ ibn Salamah al-Ashja‘i narrated to us, he said: Hashraj ibn Ziyad al-Ashja‘i narrated to me, from his paternal grandmother, the mother of his father, that she went on a military expedition with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) in the year of Khaybar, as the sixth of six women. It reached the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), so he sent for us and said: "By whose command did you go out?" And we saw anger in him. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we went out and with us is medicine with which we treat the wounded, and we hand out arrows, and we provide *sawiq* (barley drink) to drink, and we spin wool, helping thereby in the way of Allah." He said to us: "Stay." Then, when Allah granted him the victory of Khaybar, he allotted to us just as he allotted to the men.
