Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Abu Ma’mar, from ‘Abdullah, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered Makkah, and around the Ka’bah were three hundred and sixty idols. He began to strike them with a stick that was in his hand, saying: "The truth has come, and falsehood has vanished; indeed, falsehood is ever bound to vanish." "The truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate nor restore."
