Hadith 36:386
Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn Ubaydah informed us, from Ya’qub ibn Zayd ibn Talhah al-Taymi and Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, they both said: There were on that day three hundred and sixty idols in it [the Kaaba]. On al-Safa and on al-Marwah was an idol, and what was between them was surrounded by idols, and the Kaaba had been encircled with idols. Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up, and with him was a rod with which he would point at the idols. It was not but that he would point at one of them, and it would fall down, until he came to Isaf and Na’ilah, and they were in front of the Maqam, facing the door of the Kaaba. He said: "Cover them with dust," so the Muslims threw them down. He said: "Say." They said: "What shall we say, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Say: Allah fulfilled His promise, and helped His servant, and defeated the confederates alone."
