Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Asim, from Abu ‘Uthman, from Mujashi‘ ibn Mas‘ud, who said: I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, I and my brother. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, take our pledge of allegiance for migration." He said: "Migration has passed for its people." I said: "Upon what shall we pledge allegiance to you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Upon Islam and Jihad." He said: So I met his brother and asked him, and he said: "Mujashi‘ spoke the truth."
