Hawdha ibn Khalifah narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me a hadith which he attributed to Abu Salamah ibn Sufyan and ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr, from ‘Abdullah ibn al-Sa’ib, who said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on the day of the Conquest. He prayed facing the Ka’bah, so he took off his sandals and placed them to his left. Then he began [reciting] Surah al-Mu’minun. When the mention of ‘Isa or Musa came, a cough seized him, so he bowed.
