Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za'idah, who said: Abd al-Malik said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, while he was besieging Thaqif: "I have not seen the kingdom since I descended to this place of mine." He said: So Khawlah bint Hakim al-Sulamiyyah went and told Umar about that. Then Umar came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and mentioned her statement to him. He said: "She has spoken the truth." Then Umar suggested to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to depart, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed.
