Hadith 36:43

Ali bin Mushir narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq al-Shaybani, from Abdullah bin Shaddad, who said: When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was taken on the Night Journey, he was brought a beast, larger than a donkey and smaller than a mule, which placed its hoof at the furthest point of its sight, called al-Buraq. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by a caravan of the polytheists, and it shied away. They said, "O you people, what is this?" They said, "We do not see anything; this is nothing but the wind." Until he came to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). He was brought two vessels: in one was wine and in the other was milk. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took the milk. Gabriel said to him, "You have been guided, and your nation has been guided." Then he proceeded to Egypt.
