Hadith 36:478

Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated to us, Mas'udi informed us, from Isma'il ibn Awsat, from Muhammad ibn Abi Kabshah al-Anmari, from his father, who said: When it was the expedition of Tabuk, some people hurried toward the companions of al-Hijr and entered upon them. That reached the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, so he ordered that it be proclaimed: "The prayer is gathering." He said: I came to him while he was holding his camel, and he was saying: "Why do you enter upon a people upon whom Allah has become angry?" He said: A man called out to him, out of wonder at them: "O Messenger of Allah!" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Shall I not inform you of what is more wondrous than that? A man from among yourselves who tells you what happened before you and what will be after you. Remain upright and be steadfast, for Allah does not care at all about your punishment, and Allah will bring a people who will not defend themselves with anything."
