Hadith 36:48
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Asadi narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Uthman ibn al-Mughirah, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to present himself to the people at the station (al-Mawqif), saying: "Is there no man who will take me to his people? For indeed, Quraysh have prevented me from conveying the words of my Lord." He said: A man from Hamdan came to him and said: "And who are you from?" He said: "From Hamdan." He said: "And do your people have protection?" He said: "Yes." He said: The man then left, but he feared that his people might betray him, so he returned to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said: "Go and present (the message) to my people, then I will come to you next year." Then he left, and the delegations of the Ansar came in Rajab.
