Mu'tamir narrated to us, from his father, from Qatadah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the Bishop of Najran: "O Abu al-Harith, submit [to Islam]." He said: "I am a Muslim." He said: "O Abu al-Harith, submit." He said: "I have submitted before you." The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You have lied. Three things have prevented you from Islam: your claiming that Allah has a child, your eating of swine, and your drinking of wine."
