Hadith 36:502

'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Aban ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Anas, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) passed away, the people wept. So 'Umar stood in the mosque as a preacher. He said: "I will not hear anyone claiming that Muhammad has died, but his Lord has sent for him just as He sent for Musa, his Lord. For Allah sent for Musa, and he remained away from his people for forty nights. By Allah, I truly hope that the hands and feet of men who claim that he has died will be cut off."
