Waki’ narrated to us, from Salim al-Muradi Abu al-‘Ala’, from ‘Amr ibn Haram, from Rib’i ibn Hirash and Abu ‘Abd Allah—a man from the companions of Hudhayfah—from Hudhayfah, who said: We were sitting with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned the like of the hadith of ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr, except that he said: "Hold fast to the covenant of the son of Umm ‘Abd."
