'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Abu Hayyan, from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood among us as a preacher. He mentioned the *ghulul* (misappropriation of spoils of war) and magnified it, and magnified its affair. He said: "O people, let me not find one of you coming on the Day of Resurrection with a camel on his neck that has a braying sound, saying: 'O Messenger of Allah, help me!' And I will say: 'I possess nothing for you; I have already conveyed [the message] to you.' Let me not find one of you coming on the Day of Resurrection with a horse on his neck that has a neighing sound, saying: 'O Messenger of Allah, help me!' And I will say: 'I possess nothing for you; I have already conveyed [the message] to you.' Let me not find one of you coming on the Day of Resurrection with gold or silver (lit: silent wealth) on his neck, saying: 'O Messenger of Allah, help me!' And I will say: 'I possess nothing for you; I have already conveyed [the message] to you.' Let me not find one of you coming on the Day of Resurrection with a soul on his neck that has a crying sound, and he says: 'O Messenger of Allah, help me!' And I will say: 'I possess nothing for you; I have already conveyed [the message] to you.'"
