Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:1008

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Awf, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And whatever the Messenger has given you, take it; and whatever he has forbidden you, refrain from it." He said: "He used to give them the spoils of war, and he used to forbid them from misappropriating the spoils (ghulul)."
