Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:1010

Narrated to us Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, from al-Awza'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from al-Hasan regarding a man who misappropriates spoils of war (ghulul) and the army disperses: He said: He should give it away in charity on behalf of that army.
