Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Isra’il narrated to us, from Simak, from Abdullah bin Husayn al-Ijli, that Hudhayfah outpaced the people on a grey horse of his. He said: So I entered upon him while he was sitting on his feet, not touching the ground out of joy for it, dripping with sweat, and his horse was at its feeding trough, and he was sitting looking at it, and the people were entering upon him, congratulating him.
