Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:114

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Sinan Abu Sinan, from ‘Antarah Abu Waki’, that ‘Ali used to take trade goods (al-‘urud) as jizya: from the people of the needles (al-ibar), needles; and from the people of the baskets (al-masal), baskets; and from the people of the ropes (al-hibal), ropes.
