Jarir narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from al-Sha'bi, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used a stratagem against the polytheists on the day of Uhud. It was the first day he used a stratagem against them.
