Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:1184

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Mis’ar narrated to us, from Uthman al-Thaqafi, from Abu Sadiq al-Azdi, from Rabi’ah ibn Najid, from Ali, who said: "Indeed, Quraysh are the leaders of the Arabs; their righteous are the leaders of their righteous, and their wicked are the leaders of their wicked. And for everyone there is a right, so give every person who has a right his right, as long as one of you is not given the choice between his Islam and the striking of his neck. But if one of you is given the choice between his Islam and the striking of his neck, then let him stretch forth his neck—may his mother be bereaved of him—for there is no worldly life for him, nor any Hereafter, after his Islam."
