'Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Ash'ath ibn Siwar, from al-Zuhri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) took the jizya from the Magians of Hajar, and from the Jews and Christians of Yemen; one dinar from every adult. 'Umar took the jizya from the Magians of al-Sawad, and 'Uthman took the jizya from the Magians of Egypt, the Berbers.
