Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:124

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Dinar, that he heard Bajalah narrating to ‘Amr ibn Aws and Abu al-Sha’tha’, he said: I was a scribe for Juz’ ibn Mu’awiyah, and a letter came to us from ‘Umar: "Kill every male sorcerer and female sorceress, and separate between every two people who are mahram (prohibited for marriage) among the Magians, and forbid them from the *zamzamah* (muttering/chanting during worship)." So we killed three sorceresses, and we began to separate between a man and his female relative according to the Book of Allah.
