Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:146

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Al-Hasan ibn Hakim narrated to us, from his mother, from Abu Barzah al-Aslami, that he had Magian tenants. They used to give him gifts during Nayruz and Mihrajān. He would say to his family: "Whatever is of fruit, accept it, and whatever is other than that, return it."
