Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:152

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed us, from al-Hasan and Muhammad, they both said: The polytheists used to bring ghee in their containers, and the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and the Muslims would drink it and eat it, and we would eat it.
