Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:167

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: ‘Amr ibn al-Durays al-Asadi narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Sha’bi, I said: "We raid the land of Armenia, a Christian land, so what is your opinion regarding their slaughtered animals and their food?" He said: "When we used to raid a land, we would ask about its people. If they said Jews or Christians, we would eat from their slaughtered animals and cook in their vessels."
