Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Ibn Sirin, who said: Alqama ibn Ulatha apostatized, so Abu Bakr sent for his wife and his children. She said: "If Alqama has disbelieved, then I have not disbelieved, nor have my children." This was mentioned to al-Sha'bi, and he said: "This is how he acted toward them," meaning toward the people of apostasy.
