Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:23

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to us, from Talha ibn Musarrif al-Yami, he said: Khalid ibn al-Walid said: Do not diminish the wealth of a protected person (mu’ahid) who has been granted safety. And do not walk three paces [in a way that implies] you are in command over two men. And do not seek a calamity for the Imam of the Muslims.
