Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:264

Waki’ narrated to us, from ‘Imran ibn Hudayr, from Abu Mijlaz, regarding this verse: "The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger..." He said: If he killed and took the wealth, he is killed. If he took the wealth and terrified the path, he is crucified. If he killed and did not do that (i.e., take wealth), he is killed. If he took the wealth and did not do that (i.e., kill), he is cut (i.e., his hand and foot are cut off). If he caused corruption, he is banished.
