Sharik narrated to us, from Jabir, from Abu Ja'far, who said: A short man passed by the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: He performed a prostration of gratitude and said, "Praise be to Allah who did not make me like a *zanim* (an ignoble person of illegitimate birth)."
