Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:324

Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn Zarbi narrated to us, he said: Al-Rayyan ibn Sabra al-Hanafi narrated to me that he witnessed the day of Nahrawan. He said: "And I was among those who extracted Dhu al-Thudayya, and Ali was given the glad tidings of him before he reached him." He said: "So he reached him while he was prostrating out of joy."
