Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Jami‘ ibn Abi Rashid, from Maymun ibn Mihran, who said: Three things are to be fulfilled toward the righteous and the wicked: The ties of kinship are to be maintained, whether they (the relatives) are righteous or wicked. The trust is to be rendered to the righteous and the wicked. The covenant is to be fulfilled for the righteous and the wicked.
