Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:469

Waki’ narrated to us, from Isma’il, from Qays, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent an army, then said: "Behold, I am free of every Muslim who resides among the polytheists; their two fires should not be visible to one another."
