Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:476

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, regarding the people of the covenant (Ahl al-Dhimma): If they break the covenant, there is nothing [of punishment or liability] upon the offspring.
