Mu'ammar ibn Bishr narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, he said: Safwan ibn 'Amr informed us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from his father, from 'Awf ibn Malik, who said: When the spoils of war (al-fay') would come to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he would distribute it on that same day. He would give the man with a family two shares, and he would give the bachelor one share.
