Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Dawud, from ‘Ikrimah, regarding the saying of Allah: "Whatever you cut down of the *linah* (palm trees)..." He said: It is the palm tree, other than the *‘ajwah* (a specific type of date palm).
