Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:7

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Abu Ja’far narrated to us, from al-Rabi’ ibn Anas, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, he said: The scholars are the lamps of the world, and every scholar is a lamp for his time, by which the people of his time are illuminated.
