Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:709

Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, who said: Regarding the military detachment (sariyya), whatever they obtain or take as spoils, if the Imam wishes, he may grant it to them as an extra (nafal), and if he wishes, he may divide it into fifths (khums).
