Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:712

'Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from 'Amr, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Any military detachment that raids without the permission of its commander, it is *ghulul* (misappropriation of spoils)."
