Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 28:769

Narrated to us Abd al-A’la, from Ma’mar, from al-Zuhri, that he was asked about a gift (hiba) from the spoils of war (ghanimah). He said: If their commander permits them [to do so], he disliked that.
